| Amphitheatre with excavated foundations - Anfiteatro a struttura scavata
Built between the reigns of Augustus and Galba (16 BC- AD 68), it measures 136 by 107 metres, and could seat up to 24,000 spectators. Today the outer wall comprises two tiers of arches in the Doric style, each with 60 arches . Costruito fra i regni di Augusto e Galba, misura m. 136 x 107 m., poteva ospitare circa 24.000 spettatori. Il muro esterno comprende due file sovrapposte di arcate in stile Dorico ognuna composta di 60 archi ed é ancora in ottime condizioni conservative. |
