ROMERSTADT (CH) - Augusta Raurica

 


This was built during the boom years around 200 AD and seated around 6,000 spectators. Animal baiting and gladiator fights took place here. The town notables and the guests of honour followed the show from special seats ,which have been reconstructed. There is now a multimedia show in the carcer, where the animals and the items needed for the performances were once kept.
